Review Summary
Daredevil (2003), starring Ben Affleck, is a movie that should be transcribed into braille. It is a testament to what a comic-to-movie adaptation should be before it is defiled by money-hungry scriptwriters and big-name executive marketing.
From the first moment until the legendary resolution, it is a nonstop action thriller that stays true to its roots.
Combining heartbreaking realities and subtle humor throughout every scene, the viewer is led by the hand on an adventure without restraint.
It has appeal beyond the realm of comic book fanaticism in that the plot is well thought out and the cast performances are amazingly true to life, which makes for an entertaining show for the casual moviegoer.
Elektra, played by Jennifer Garner, does an excellent job with the action choreography, and she complements the sequences with match-made on-screen chemistry while stealing the spotlight.
Kingpin, portrayed by Michael Clarke Duncan, could not have been cast better. The stout, bulky fellow with his naturally menacing presence fully embodies the role.
If any superhero movie that predates the flood of the MCU corporate frenzy has risen above the status quo, this is one that should not remain unseen.500 to 1000 words brifely describing the movie without spoilers
